Subscriptions for Building the School, June 1853

Lindale & Martin School

THE COMMITTEE for the ERECTION of a SCHOOL for the Hamlets of Lindale and Martin, in the Parish of Dalton, having now obtained sufficient Funds to warrant them in commencing the undertaking, have much pleasure in informing those Friends who have kindly aided them with their subscriptions, and the Public generally, that they have succeeded in Letting the Contract for the Erection of the Building to responsible parties, who have already commenced operations; but, in order to complete the undertaking, a sum of £40, over and above what has already been promised, is required, and the Committee earnestly request the charitable contributions of the benevolent in aid of their funds. Any subscriptions will be thankfully received by any Member of
